- I’ve been working away on my reviews here and there, but again have fallen behind in my initial intention of actually properly “blogging” in some fashion - and so I’ve written a piece (mainly for myself) to set straight some of my thoughts on work. More specifically, why I’m quitting my current job, and what I’m looking for in the future. Just in time for Christmas to get all this off my chest and relax, ready for 2025.

Phew! Have finally ported over all my writings from my old blog, at least the ‘finished ones’ to present to the public - definitely not including my many drafts and scraps here and there, the digital equivalent of a messy paper-strewn table. I’m still unsure about the publish dates, I’ve worked from A-Z chronologically which, means when sorting to newest “published” it currently sorts from Z-A - we’ll see, it looks a little ugly personally but I could always tweak how it categorises these things (e.g. sort everything alphabetically instead, except for the blogs which can stay reverse chronological), and even highlight the newest updated thing in some way. Shrug.
-
Either way, I’m now happy enough to start proceeding to actually get back into the habit of writing, and now have a place that is “finished” enough to throw stuff onto it. The website can just have some tweaking done here and there on an as-and-when basis.

- The book reviews and game reviews have been finalised and put onto the website - music reviews coming soon! Phew, hopefully sooner rather than later I can get the music reviews over and start writing new stuff.

This website is finally live! Well, its been live for a few days, but there’s finally some meaningful writings here outside of a few placeholder lorem ipsum posts.
-
A new blog post denoting the initial experience of creating my Hugo blog, newly written, is also published.
-
Over the course of the next days/weeks/months I will migrate all my previous writings (Music, Books, Games) as well.
-
Note that the migrated writings have new dates, and so I’ve marked their original published date within the text. I’m being partially lazy here, but also want the dates on the website and RSS feed to line up, and have found finding the exact dates difficult due to piecemeal changes and evolution. That’s my excuse, anyway (and if you see a “~” on the original date, treat it as an approximation).
-
I’m sure there will be a few teething problems as well, trying to iron out the last-minute cosmetic and aesthetic changes after actually moving stuff over, as well as inherent personal indecision.
