A short, but sweet little puzzle game, mainly focused on hidden objects set within the oeuvre of Belgian 19th/20th century painter, James Ensor. The simple puzzles here are more of a cute forcing mechanism to make you really absorb and take in the eclectic array of paintings presented (which was, to my artistically philistine eyes, a visual feast), further augmented by little snippets of interactivity and ‘color’ - all the added music, chatter, sound effects and light animation really bring these paintings alive. Only a few elements of interactivity are used (out of all that the medium of video games provide you) but what little is used really made the paintings of James Ensor shine, and so turns this into a fantastic love-letter/tribute but also a spin on the traditional art gallery experience, allowing you poke your skeleton hands all over the pieces presented.
