As someone who works in a boring corporate job, frustrated and often fruitlessly slacking on my phone, whilst simultaneously worried about being automated out of the job I have and struggling to make any sort of lifelong passion project get off the ground… to say this little story resonated with me would be a massive understatement.
Walks the balance between being funny and being sincerely introspective that really makes the story a whole lot more than the sum of its admittedly rather simple parts - its very clearly been written and produced from a very personal place and well-lived experience, right down to the ruthless bosses, chronic coffee addiction and corporate gobbledegook.
And like Penny, I’m feeling inspired after that. Well, I’ll act on that, just a few more minutes of Lumber Lass first…
